GPS Tracking

GPS tracking in recent years has become a household word. Everyone is using it to navigate the streets of their own city or access it on the internet to check out their next vacation location or mark their favorite fishing location.

GPS means “Global Positioning System” and there are two basic sciences used.

  1. Triangulation of your position on Earth’s surface measured by capturing signals given off from satalites orbiting the Earth. (This type is accurate, but has the drawback of being unable to locate when inside of buildings, etc. due to the week strength of satalite signals.)
  2. Triangulation of your position on Earth’s surface from contact with at least three cellular phone towers. (This system is strong and effective even inside buildings, but has the drawback of not being effective in remote areas where cellular phone service is not available.)

GPS comes standard on some new cars (GM has the satalite type system on most of their high end cars), but the newest and one of the most money saving uses of GPS is in the relm of security. Thanks to a new product invented by Red Wolf Anti Theft Systems and manufactured by DeWalt – everyone can now have a very sophisticated and high tech anti-theft device designed to protect their valuable portable items from theft.

Check out our “How it works” page for more detailed information.

The DeWalt Mobile Lock incorporates the very latest in GPS technology. It is called assisted GPS, which means that it does not only rely on global positioning generated from satalites orbiting the earth, but it also contains a cellular phone and triangulates its position within a few feet from at least 3 cellular phone towers. DeWalt Mobile-Lock easily tells you its position even when it is inside of buildings. This is something that few other systems can do – even Chevrolet’s On Star is not so effective.

Now you can simply attach MobileLock to your motorcycle in a hidden place or drop one in the bottem of your golf bag and now if someone does manage to steel your motorcycle, car, golf clubs, ATV, Portable computer, or whatever – you can very simplty go on line and access the GPS system and follow your property to ist new location – anywhere.

You should see the smiles on the police officers faces when you give them this type of tool to help them do their job!!

GPS – It’s now the best security money can buy!
