Red Wolf was originally a construction company and we wanted better methods and technology for providing security on construction sites that were often the targets of thieves.

Theft of tools, materials, and equipment is rampant at night, but even takes place in broad daylight during working hours. Thieves just dress like construction workers, drive up in a pickup truck, and leave with items worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

When we tried to find products and services to combat these problems, we were surprised at how difficult it was and how few really effective systems there were. With as much money as we spend on insurance, tools, materials, and equipment, and with all the high tech gadgets now available, we figured we could find adequate protection. Not so!
Really effective means of protecting against theft was just not available.

We were faced with one of three choices:
           1. Forget it and charge our customers for the cost of our theft losses. 
               (This is what 99% of contractors do.)
           2. Use even more fences, padlocks, conex boxes and all of the same old systems
               that haven’t worked in the past.
           3. Invent our own security system.

We chose the third option. Abandoning the old methods, we came up with something so unique and effective that DeWalt (the well-known tool company) loved our idea and licensed it. They became the manufacturers and main distributors of the products.
